The Footballers of the future course at British Summer School delivered in partnership with Spurs Football Development is an intensive residential programme designed for international students aged 12–18 who are committed to developing their footballing ability and taking their game to the next level.
Delivered at Uppingham School in Rutland, the programme offers technical and tactical coaching led by FA and UEFA-qualified Spurs Development coaches.
This experience gives young athletes the opportunity to improve their performance, build confidence, and experience life in a traditional British boarding environment alongside players from around the world.

Course Details
- Ages: 12-18
- Weekly Programme: 30 hours per week of football coaching, workshops, and strength and conditioning sessions
- Coach-to-Player Ratio: Maximum 1:15
- English Level: A2 Elementary – C2 Proficiency (native speakers welcome)
- Excursions: Weekly excursions to London and other British cities and towns
- Evening Social Programme: All students take part in fun evening social activities
- Includes: Nike in-line training kit, full-board accommodation, professional coaching, evening activities, weekend excursions, airport transfers and travel insurance
Accommodation and Facilities
Students are accommodated in Uppingham’s boarding houses. Rooms are typically shared with 1 to 6 beds per room. Students also enjoy in-house dining.
Uppingham School provides exceptional facilities for both training and recreation. These include:
