The Huddle with NFL and Nike

The Huddle Project delivers a dual sport programme for boys and girls aged 11-18, bringing together football and NFL FLAG alongside wellbeing, education and employability activities to help transform the lives of young people in the local community.

Employment and education workshops are led by senior executives from across Nike, NFL and THFC.

The Huddle has 3 delivery pillars:

  • FLAG football and soccer participation;
  • Employment and skills;
  • Mindset and wellbeing

These align with the areas of impact the project seeks to address: improved mental health and wellbeing; reduction of serious youth violence and increase in educational attainment and access to employment.

STEM Programme with Schneider Electric

Our STEM programme in partnership with Schneider Electric works with primary school-aged children to bring to life STEM concepts and inspire learning through interactive sessions. Learning takes place at Percy House, within schools and even finishes with a finals day at the F1 Drive experience.

The programme aims to:

- Help students develop STEM skills, along with soft skills such as collaboration, resilience and problem-solving and programming skills which are critical for the jobs of the future.
- Enhance students’ understanding of Schneider Electric’s role in the smooth, day-to-day operations of the Stadium.

Start Something with Socios.com

Start Something, funded by THFC Partner Socios and delivered in partnership with Enterprise Nation, helps young people age 18-30 turn an idea into a business.

Through a combination on in-person sessions, hosted at the world-famous Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and online sessions with a business-savvy mentor, Start Something aims to teach young entrepreneurs all they need to know from creating a minimum viable product to marketing and being a business for good, equipping them with the tools to launch their business successfully.

Sports Business careers Fair with iWorkinSport

Tottenham Hotspur Foundation brought together leading sports brands and local young people at its first sports business careers fair, sponsored by iWorkinSport.

The event saw 170 young people with aspirations of careers in sport visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to listen to talks from the likes of Nike Club & Federation Business Director Bonnie Zeihlund and former Spurs defender Sebastien Bassong as well as discuss job opportunities and tips for breaking into the industry with exhibiting brands such as the Premier League, the Lawn Tennis Association, Footballco and more.

Sponsor, iWorkinSport, said of the opportunity: “We’re proud to support Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and sponsor this careers fair – an event that embodies our shared mission to open doors and create pathways in sport”.

Education Partnership with AMOS Business School

Our partnership with AMOS Sports Business School gives students from their university access to real-world experiences and opportunites at a football club. Working hard during the semester on concepts and solutions to Foundation and Club-based problematics, the partnership sees real dual benefit for both the Foundation and the business school. Students are then invited to the stadium to present their solutions in front of a panel of Foundation and Club staff, with the winners receiving a special Spurs gift in recognition of their efforts. The university also hosts their annual Back to School events at the stadium, facilitated by the Foundation.

If your organisation is interested in an education partnership with the Foundation, please email adele.scott@tottenhamhotspur.com.
